Training and Accreditations

Annie received her Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Bastyr University.  She is licensed in the state of Washington and is NCCAOM board certified in Acupuncture and Chinese medicine. She completed an externship at the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, which focused on gynecology and women’s health.

Annie completed the practitioner training in the Arvigo Techniques of Mayan Abdominal Therapy (ATMAT) at the Arvigo Institute, LLC in New Hampshire. While there she was inspired to extend her training with Dr. Rosita Arvigo by taking a week -long class titled, ‘Supporting Pregnancy from Pre-Conception to Post Partum’. Annie’s interest in supporting women throughout their pregnancy women led her to complete the Big Belly Services Doula Program in the summer of 2009.

Background

Annie is a licensed acupuncturist, Chinese herbalist, Maya abdominal practitioner, and licensed massage practitioner.  She has special training and expertise in treating:

  • Pregnancy, Birth & Postpartum Recovery
  • Stress, Anxiety, & Depression
  • Pain

Annie believes in the importance of treating each patient as a unique individual, and taking the whole person into account—mind, body and spirit.  Each treatment is a blending of several modalities in order to best meet the patient’s needs and health goals.  Annie helps each patient to navigate their healthcare by outlining a clear and concise treatment plan that includes recommendations for treatment frequency, herbal therapies, supplementation, dietary support, and lifestyle modifications.

Discounted fees for payment in full at time of service:

Initial Acupuncture Visit

90 minutes                                 $120

Follow-up Acupuncture Visit

60 minutes                                 $85

Initial Maya Abdominal Therapy

90 minutes                                 $130

Follow-up Maya Abdominal Therapy

60 minutes                                  $90

If you currently have health insurance that covers acupuncture we are happy to bill your insurance company for services rendered.

  • Molina

Prior to your appointment please check with your insurance company and be aware of your coverage.  If we are not contracted with your insurance company we will be billing your insurance as an out-of-network provider.  Please understand that you will be responsible for any fees above and beyond what your insurance actually pays.

Please also understand that insurance does not cover the cost of Chinese herbs or supplements.  You will be responsible for the cost of Chinese herbs and/or supplements should you choose to take them.
