The first visit for acupuncture will usually take about 1 1/2 hours with about 15 minutes needed to complete paperwork.  Follow up visits generally take about 1 hour.  It is preferable to wear loose fitting clothing, but gowns are available as well.  Herbal consultations generally take about one hour for the initial consultation and about 1/2 hour for follow up appointments.

Background

During my Family Practice residency, I did a rotation in homeopathy where I also had my first exposure to acupuncture.  This later led to my interest in pursuing extensive study in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine.  While I treat most types of conditions that patients may present with, I do have a special interest in treating sports related conditions.

In my free time, I am an avid kayaker, whitewater river guide, hiker and bicyclist.
